Anxiety attacks
Hi Friend,
Fellow sufferer here. Yeah, they suck don't they? Remember that you've survived them before and you'll survive this one too. Just try to relax and take slow deep breathes. It'll pass eventually, they always do.
Okay I get you 100%, remember to breathe slowly in through your nose out through your mouth while counting to 4, it will pass as they always do, thank goodness. I feed my mind with positive thoughts while breathing or take my mind to a happy place or even put on tunes I really dig. I hope you find something that works for you. I'm wishing you peace of mind. Love, light, joy & hugs!
Thanks !
Thanks

Hello Nalbinder. A nurse once told me to use the old trick breathing into a paper bag. She said it works by building something up that your body needs. Sorry I can't remember the details but I've tried it and did help me. Hope this may help you if you have another panic attack. They're very scary. Sending love and support, have a good day
How do you feel exactly?
I am driving across country with my son and dog. I feel sensitive to anxious thoughts. It’s hard to distract myself. I am doing ok,
Hi and welcome, You’re on the right site for help there a lot of amazing people here and You’re braver than you know. Driving across country would give me anxiety too how old is your son? And that’s great have your dog they’re great for therapy am here for u and deep breathing exercise and meditation and praying and writing down what am grateful daily helps and try to distract yourself the more you think about u will notice it if u ignore it believe me it will go away
Let the anxious thoughts come, they may be discomforting but they can do you no real harm. Do not fight them, that causes more stress, just accept them for the time being, agree to coexist with them.
Agree to accept them without fighting and you disarm them, you feel less fear and it's fear that keeps your nervous system sensitive.
Do not distract yourself from them: face them and pass straight through them. They are merely temporary glitches of overstressed nerves, they will recover when you stop flooding them with fear.
Everything is going to be fine, it always is eventually, you will not feel like this forever. If you can temporarily accept the bad feelings without fear your nerves will recover, that is always the way and you are no exception.
