You deserve to be happy too
These did not come overnight. It took me many years in learning who I am and accepting who I am. In doing this, I have found peace within myself.
1. Always leave room for the impossible to happen and it will
2. Appreciate the positive things I have in life
3. Believing in that there is a reason for everything
4. Always finding good in people
5. Living in the present and making it just One moment in my lifetime.
I’m in the process of learning to accept who I am and seeing myself in a more positive light. It takes time though like you said.
1) I’m a good listener and my friends know they can trust me.
2) I have a good smile that gets other people smiling back.
3) I’m always trying to learn and grow as a person.
4) I am empathetic
5) I try to see the good in others

That is a very good question. I honestly can not answer 5 things about myself right now. I’m in the process of trying to figure positive attributes about myself. I have even asked those who know me best and they say the same this that I have come up with. Hopefully I will figure it out

I can’t think of 5 things I like about myself.
I don't know if I have 5, but here goes...
1. I like to help people and animals and I have recently helped someone to "get back on his feet" and finally get himself an apartment he can afford that is pet friendly and he has gotten one, of his 2 cats back after about 6 months of them being shuffled from a shelter to more than one foster home. The most recent foster home is trying to catch the other cat, and these real life brothers will finally be reunited!
2 After many years of therapy, I am finally free of my social anxiety!
3 I DO procrastinate, but I always seem to get most of the important things accomplished in time
4 I am working on my constant worrying, which has made my irritable bowel syndrome very bad, using meditation and it appears to be starting to help!

Well, I'm in the middle of fighting off panic attacks from over-the-top anxiety. Saw my therapist today & we agreed that right now anxiety is my biggest problem. It doesn't help that I'm more than 5 mos out from an anterior/posterior L3-S1 spine fusion. The pain is constant. Man! It's hard not to complain. I can sure use tips on positive thinking when I start to run with a worry that I can't do a thing about this minute. Thanks, Shutterfly for suggesting we list attributes.
So, here goes...
#1. I am trying so hard to become mentally & emotionally healthy. I am diligent & determined. I'm 60 & always minimized being raised in a violent, severely alcoholic family (both parents). I will tread through muck & mire to find peace. Believe it or not, I'm excited to see who I'll become
#2. I'm very, very short winded & to the point...LOL! Scratch that.

#3. Awesome mom & grandma.
#4. I have a really good singing voice.
#5. I have been sober 24 years, 8 months & 21 days (assuming I don't take a drink before going to bed). THAT ain't happening!!

Aww your welcome! Singing is really helpful. I love singing I’m not sure my voice is good but I enjoy singing anyway.
