Today is a picture perfect day here in the mountains of SoCal... Too nice to stay inside and wallow in depression (not that I'm depressed today.)
Our community is gathering forces to tackle some fire abatement chores and a community BBQ afterwards. We're all "Vaxed to Da Max" yet socially distancing .. Take THAT COVID!

I can't wait to do the same, but we are in lockdown until at least June 2nd here in Ontario. The good news is that our vaccination efforts are beginning to pay off, so I may be doing the barbecue Happy Dance, yet!

One of my favorite grilled pleasures is asparagus wrapped with crispy bacon. Both healthy and not so healthy, lol!
I dont know about you but I was surprised when Alberta surpassed Ontario in Covid numbers.

With Covid, surprise appears to be a constant emotion. Here in Ontario we will be under "stay at home" until we can get our numbers well below the 1000 a day new cases, I think, even though the unofficial date is June 2nd.
I hope the re-opening here isn't premature. Time will tell

H2O till the "after party" the mountain roads here are not very forgiving. Nor are the 100 to 500 ft drops off the road side to and from the Valley...😉😊 That and I don't want to dent my Mustang she's my only source of transprot.

Burgers, dogs, salads, calamari and tri tip both slow roasted in/on a wood fired grill... assorted chips and dips, homemade salsa as well... We may be mountain folk but we know how to chow down! Dogs and kids under foot and everyone enjoying our company.
