Just Three Short Weeks Ago...

I had all this motivation and drive and now it’s gone.

How to get it back is the challenge for me.

My therapist doesn’t seem to think the meds will do that for me so I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to get it back.

Any advice?

HDGarza, no meds is not going to motivate you, only you can do that...

Start with setting the bar low

Practice self-compassion

Ask for help/recruit support

Make the goal to do it/not necessarily enjoying it

Acknowledge your courage to step out of your comfort zone.

It's a start to get your mentally going forward. :) x

then ask your therapist what they think will help you get your motivation back again. Some of us do need meds for anxiety, depression, etc. and it does help. But there is no magic pill as I always say, because we still have good days and bad days, just not as much of a roller coaster ride.

She just told me to take it step by step and basically be patient and try and push myself to do things and think about the reward I’ll get from it.
