waited nearly 3 weeks to speak to the doctor about my results of my chest X-ray , it showed my heart is bigger than it should be but they don’t seem to be to worried about it, they’ve said that if I start getting palpitations and breathless to ring them back other than that they will
Repeat the chest X-ray in a year. How can you say that to somebody that’s suffers with really really bad anxiety. I’m so upset and worried and imagining all sorts of things now, how am I going to know which is which, I get breathless when I’m stressed, it’s just another thing for me to worry about ahhhhhhhhhhhh I hate my life

I've had chest X rays and CT scans. If it was something urgent they would of told you and booked you in immediately. Unfortunately they seem to treat everyone the same way. Take care.
Kara swisher is a famous journalist in the tech world. She had this problem and has been very open about it. I don’t think it is uncommon. You need to be aware of stroke symptoms which she had. I don’t think that means you are at great risk. Actually everyone should be aware of them. Awareness is enough. She also got surgery to fix a defective hole. It was very easy and half a day. She talks about it in one or more of her podcasts. Might be a good person to learn from
Deep breath. Calm and slow. These doctors don’t know everything (do they know your have anxiety? Do they KNOW what it means, feels like, is?)
Mind of matter here: you know anxiety stresses you out and makes it worse, so focus on calm…what makes you calm? Is there a song? Or a smell? Or sunlight? What calms you?
When you get anxious about this new condition, calm first…then deal with the physical. You won’t have your situation exacerbated by additional anxiety. *hugs*
I spent the past three years going through a diagnosing process. Agree with the comment that if it were an issue, they don't mess around. I have GAD as many of us do. During the diagnosis of a few diseases, other things popped up. I had an enlarged ventricle....they were not concerned. I have high prolactin and that can develop into a tumor. I go once a year for a scan. It has taken these three years to really get my head in the game with doctors. You have to self advocate. I can understand this a bit given Dr burnout with COVID. I know it is stressful. For what it's worth, I have gone for second opinions and never has insurance declined. It may ease your mind for a second opinion.
I’m going to ask to be referred to a cardiologist and hopefully get some answers, mind you it could be a long wait for an appointment, the wheels have come off the nhs and everything takes forever
