I've had anxiety for a while now well what seems like anxiety it's so hard to notice because sometimes the gaps between episodes are big then not so big. Does anyone else's heart rate go to like 134-170 then stay up between 95-115 ish for hours my last one lasted around 4 hours all together with quite quick runs to the toilet. It says on most things you read it lasts from 30 min to 1 hour.
Anyone else get this?

hi, there are a couple of clues in your post that you are anxious. the fact that you pay attention to the 'numbers' ie, the rate of your heart beats and the running to the loo, indicates that your body is responding to some sort of anxious thinking. does that make sense to you?
Yeah I understand it all, those are the numbers from hospital when I was in last sat, I was just wondering if anyone else's heart rate went up that high and for so long as I've read it's supposed just last 30 mins to 1 hour.
I think so yes my heart rate went up from nowhere to like 170 this freaked me out so took myself to hospital it kept creeping up but didn't go under 95 for around 4 hours was just wanting to know if anyone else's stayed up that long as when you read about anxiety nearly every article states it should only last 30 mins to an hour
the other thing too is, that if the hospital thought that there was anything worrying going on, you would not be allowed to leave. this is reassuring. did you have checks, like ECG, blood pressure? people differ, and yes it is possible to stay in an anxious state for longer than half an hour. again, just to reassure you, however awful anxiety or panic is... it isn't dangerous.
Yes had an ecg and said I was having palpitations but I told her I wasn't as I'd only had a few going to the toilet ( I thought palpitations were flutters ) to only find out that palpitations is a fast heart rate. But didn't understand why she said all this as the fast heart rate is why I went in. I just wanted to know if anyone had a fast heart rate for longer than an hour.
Just concentrate on taking some deep slow breathes ...you can actually slow your heart rate that way concentrating on the BPM will only get you more upset ...put on some slow new age music think Enya that will.get your heartbeat down ...promise it works😊
No I have an app on my phone. When my heart rate goes up I can tell without checking I feel like I'm going to pass out. And I will Google it I don't know what enya is but will look thank you
