Yup, just had to quit my seasonal job that had potential to had turn led in to a regular shift if I would’ve just held on. I was 1 point from being fired (6 pts and they fire you, for absences, etc. and I was at 5). It was a number of reasons. 1 I wasn’t getting paid enough to pay $30 of toll to nj once a week, pay my ex mom n law to watch my daughter $25 2-3 Times a week, and pay for gas. And since the snow fell yesterday, I was afraid to make the trip with my car because it’s in very bad shape and I didn’t know if the tires would make it. And I just wasn’t satisfied with all of that, and I was having some days getting myself together in time so I had to call out. It’s a struggle to work for me. I’m in a bad mood, I don’t wanna have to say yet again I quit a job, and children smh they don’t know...you’re not in the mood sometimes...my daughter wants to go over her gmom house to play with her cousins. I had to say no. Plus I said I’m not in a mood. Then she wants to play a game. I’m sorry I’m n a bad mood! I told you already, can’t u see my face? So why are u asking me again?? She’ll b ok. She can play by herself she’s 9. I deserve to b in a bad mood without feeling guilty!!

I feel for you! Sending love and peace to you! XXX

I know how you feel. I had a seasonal job for the winter and 3 days before it ended I had to quit. I couldn't do it anymore and I'm surprised I lasted so long. I lost the opportunity to make good money those last 3 days. It's not easy working with anxiety all those symptoms want to keep you trapped at home but you will be strong and you will find something better. Kids sometimes don't understand that we just don't feel too good at times and they certainly don't know what anxiety is, makes me envy them at times.

Thanks Swan01, I agree, I just couldn’t do it anymore either. It was gonna end on the 14th with a possible option to stay after. But since I’ve gotten a good night rest, I’m not too worried about it anymore, just making a plan for what’s next. I plan to take some courses in the next wk or so, working on that. I know, kids don’t know at times and it’s hard to tell them. She knows I get in my moods. Then I have severe pmdd and that’s happening right along with all of this. Today feeling alil better. Just gonna go with it.❤️☮️

Im glad you are feeling better and you are making future plans . it's better to have some distraction and not let anxiety take over you.

Where_is_normal, Unfortunately, this is life. We need to go with the flow, one step at a time. Good Luck with taking some courses. Staying positive is one way in keeping your options open. xx

Me too!

I’m sorry you are in a bad mood and quit your job. I would like to quit my job. It causes me too much anxiety. I’m hoping they fire me. I was suppose to be working from home and haven’t done anything but it’s back to office Monday. I have two little girls and it’s hard for them when I’m in bad mood. You feel guilty bc you care about your daughter but you shouldn’t fee guilty. It’s ok to feel bad sometimes. It’s just society always wants us positive and make us feel bad for having normal emotions.

Thanks pika1202. What type of work do you do? And I’m sorry you feel like that with your job. It’s super harder for us working that have anxiety, and society don’t understand that. But we keep on trying and that’s all we can do. Aww, 2 little girls. I bet they are adorable!! Yea and I have severe pmdd and of course it would be happening now. I’m in a better mood at the moment so imma just go with it. ❤️☮️

I am an immigration attorney which was stressful enough and now even more so under the new administration that is trying to get rid of it. I have all this debt from law school for a career I ended up hating. They said with a law degree all these doors would open up but every one just wants to pigeon hole me into being a lawyer. The anxiety and depression just get so much worse with pmdd. I can relate to that. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Firstly, WOW you are amazing!! An Attorney, girl power!!💪🏽 I’m sorry you’re feeling so trapped. What would you like to do now? I’m sure your degree will help whatever path you choose. Don’t worry about the debt, only pay back monthly what you can afford..get a note from your doc explaining your health mental wise and maybe you can get some type of medical deferment. I have acquired so much school debt and I’m still an undergrad. One day I will pay it lil by lil but once I’m gone they can’t open the casket to get it so who cares 🤷🏽‍♀️ Lol. Hope that made you laugh. ❤️☮️

I’m sorry I had to quit your job. My job causes me a lot of anxiety but my shift is super early in the morning, which I’m glad for since it makes the day go by very quickly. The only downside is that I pretty much have to work with my boss practically every shift, every day that I work and he takes the job too seriously. Most of the employees are college students who don’t view the job as their career in the future.

Thanks so much Anxiety_chick, uh I hate working with ppl that are like that!! But that’s great you work early mornings. I was working early like that this past summer but had to quit their too when my daughter went back to school this past September. Same company as this one but different location!! Smh. I hope your days continue to fly by.❤️☮️

So sorry. That's a really tough situation - because you know you're doing the very best you can, and it feels like never enough. Something I've experienced too.

Thanks BlueVelvette, yes I always feel like a mouse running on a wheel, going no where smh. I’m not getting any younger, I just need to stick to one job. I haven’t stayed at a job longer than 3 years, and that was in 2014. I got fired smh. It was my fault because I thought I could trust someone. Anyways, so I need my next job to be somewhere I plan to stay for years. ☮️❤️

Deep breaths. You tried the job and it didn't work out. That was a strong and brave thing to do. Now it's on to other things. Don't be so hard on yourself. The weather has been terrible and I think you did the right thing given how much the job was costing you.

Do something that makes you feel better - lie down, watch a show, read something good, have hot cocoa, whatever. Remember that you tried and that's what counts. There will be something better out there for you. Try to get into a better space so you can enjoy a day off!

When you feel better, maybe you and your little girl can play dolls or a game. Just being silly and playful can be a great stress reliever.

Deep breaths. CALM. This is not a disaster. You're still a good person and better things are in store for you. You left a bad situation - good for you!

Hi Windy101, thanks so much. Glad that storm has passed. But at the moment I have some anxiety going about things I need to get done so I’m gonna watch on of my favorite sitcoms for some laughs. Yes tonight I let my daughter sleep in bed with mommy. She loves that and so do I! Yes I will try to remain calm through life’s challenges ❤️☮️

Deep breaths for me, too. Yesterday my daughter said some things that really hurt my feelings, so I know how hard it is being a mom at times. My daughter is 27. But today is a new day. I will try to remain calm too. There's nothing to be gained for me by getting myself worked up. Good luck with your job search!
