I am sorry that you're going through this. It's horrendous I know. Until recently, I was going through the same ... every night for weeks on end.

I talked to my Dr about it and he put me on a very low dose of Apo-Prazosin - a blood pressure tablet. Haven't had a nightmare since 🙌 Apparently it is also prescribed for nightmares. It is unknown how exactly it works but it just does so YAY!!

Check out the product info leaflet on-line AND don't despair k?

Best wishes ☺

I have Night Terrors from Combat PTSD. If it is a big problem you need to see a professional. There are somethings that help you to not dream.

Hi IndieWolf,

Thanks for sharing with us. If you do nothing your quality of sleep or lack of it will cause you to have a sleep debt that affects you mental and physical wellbeing.

I have included a link to a blog that talks about what nightmares are, the causes and the science behind them

Taking medication to keep your brain from being able to have the nightmares is only part of the equation

Hoping you can get the solution you need.

A lot of times our dreams can come from real life incidents. Talking to a therapists and possibly connecting the dreams to a real situation will allow you to address the situation. If you fix the real life problem it may not manifest in your dreams. Diet also plays a big part in...well everything. Don’t eat right before bed. Let your food digest. Essential oils, bubble baths etc can help relax your body and mind prior to bed. Try not to stress over the dreaming because it will bring it to the front of your mind. Easier said than done, I know. Find the meaning in the dreams. If it connects to something real then that getting fixed will solve the dreams. I dream of things and can usually connect them to a feeling or situation in real life. Address that. Not just the dreams. Hope it helps and you find some peace.

Have milky hot chocolate drink before you go asleep?? X

A lot of meds can also cause you to dream more. Go over any meds you are taking and when you take them with your doctor. I was taking one pill at night for years and never was able to get a peaceful sleep. When the doctor found out I took it at night and told me to switch to morning it made a huge difference!
