Hello, fellow survivors! After all, we've all survived some sort of injury - that's generally why we're here, right? On February 18, 2018, I celebrate an anniversary: twenty years ago I sustained a moderate to severe TBI in an automobile accident. I was in the middle of my doctoral studies, to which I returned the next year and completed in 2005. In the fall of 1999, I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I take Wellbutrin, Escitalopram, Focalin, and a medicinal Vitamin D3 to treat these.
Okay, now for the real me 😁! My name's Becky, and I was doing all right as long as I stayed in my secure academic "box" writing my dissertation. Now I've got my Ph.D, a very demanding husband who "thinks" he understands my TBI (big NO there!), and five four-footed children. Another survivor and I are starting a support group for survivors of brain injury and their care-givers. Any suggestions from out there would be welcome!
