HELP
Yep, ain' no big deal....maybe. Do you have Medicare in he US or are you stil working and have regular insurance, and what type of meds are not being covered?
You may just need a pre-authorization. I had to pay out of pocket for Adderall a couple months ago...OUCH! So, i had the pharmacy send a request for the pre-auth to my doctor. I guess the pharmacy then dealt with the insurance company. I also needed to get one for my Effexor and Klonopin. I have been on all 3 meds for quite some time...maybe it is a yearly requirement.
If your meds are expensive, the are tons of discount coupons in doctor's offices, If you are are on SS, look up the cost of the medications charges in your area on the computer for all the pharmacies in (Google" : Good RX to find the cheapest phamacistry) in your area. If really in dire straits, look up the name of the manufacture of the prescriptions and appy for serious discounts or free. I found to pay $3000 monthly mediction I had no way to affornd on my own. Good hunting. Call the pharmaecutal companies first as they have teams to work with your insurance to get it to pay.
Thank you so much I will do it.
If I can be of help to you, please contact me. I was in sheer shock when I saw the monthly cost if the medication I needed for 2 year. Friends have been able to get their insuilin after they spent their $1000.....we have go as a military mission.....so tighten your gear and have patience and woman determination.
I don't know much about insurance but I wish u the best!
My insurance co won't cover mental health at all. Good luck to you! Let us know what you come up with please?
We have to pay out of pocket for meds. I use GoodRX and also my doctors know I can not afford some of the new, ridiculously price meds.
Insurance companies pay for medications that are on their formulary. This is the list of covered medications. Inquire with the doctors or providers if a substitute can be prescribed for you.
