ive been on Pristiq for 10 weeks and I am really struggling with insomnia. When I do sleep I have bad nightmares. Last night i dreamed I was being stabbed repeatedly by someone!! I know it's not the anxiety or depression because I sleep fine when not on meds, even with the anxiety , etc. Do I need to give it more time? Could this side effect eventually go away? Otherwise the med is ok so I'd hate to switch esp having been on several other meds already so getting tired of switching so much. Any thoughts ?

My PTSD includes horrific nightmares and some times brief day mares. Ambien has other side effects but does best to help me sleep with fewer night mares...but service dog was the best resolution.
