I take on alot of problems

Hey goodnight I'm new here and I'm thankful that there are ppl here who go thru same that can understand me. For the pass 3years I've been stressed out taking on alot of stress I try not to but it's hard when the problem keeps reminding you it's there. How do you not stress plz help me, its been getting worse where am having anxiety attacks now and neck pain. Any advice will be appreciated thank you.

Hi and welcome.

Stress has always been an issue for me. I just to get told to relax and I would just say what do you mean relax? because I thought I was relaxed. :-D

There are many things that you can do to destress, but the reducing the causes of stress is overall the best thing to do.

Here is a list of the things I have done to reduce stress.

Tai Chi - I managed to stay off high blood pressure tabled for 16 years by doing Tai Chi.

Aromatherapy massage - my first aromatherapy massage let me feel what people meant when they were telling me to relax.

Diffusing essential oils - I have a blend that I use in the evenings to help me sleep.

Deep muscle relaxation - you can find information about this online. The method I use involves tightening and relaxing muscles in your body all the way from your feet to your head.

Deep slow breathing - this is a good technique for when you are getting stressed when you are out, buy breathing slower and deeper it helps you slow your heart rate and clams you.

Listening to music, exercising, walking, listening to music, doing something fun, other versions of massage, relaxing bath - all can help you de-stress.

How not to stress, I think that is a bit trickier to say how to do that because there is so many things that can stress you and different people get stressed by different things.

I'd say that the best thing to do is to make a list of the things that cause you to be stressed and then you can look at ways to limit the stress in those situations and also locations. You can't lie down in the office and do a deep muscle relaxation, but you could do a deep muscle relaxation at home. :-D

Also it may be worth noting if it is people or events or environments or situations that stress you the most. :-D
