I'm new and have been diagnosed with anxiety....

Hello, I'm Diana and I've been diagnosed with anxiety. About a week ago I was sitting at my desk working and all of a sudden my arms went numb and I got light headed and tight in my chest. I've never felt anything like it. They called an ambulance and I was taken to the error. They did lots of tests and said they were all normal and said if we anxiety attack. I followed up with my pc who prescribed a low dose of Venlafexine. 6 days later (yesterday) I wasn't feeling well (tired light headed) so I decided to lay down. All of a sudden I felt it again, but worse! Hotness in my chest and stomach, numbness in both arms tight chest. I thought I was dying. My wife called 911 and they took me to a different hospital. They kept me overnight and had ultrasound of my legs and x-ray of chest to look for blood clots, different tests on my heart... Nothing. Everything was normal. I was discharged today and have come home. Been home for a few hours and it starts up again the hotness in chest and stomach and numbness. I'm working on breathing through it but is it normal to come in waves like this?? Sorry for the wordy post, I just feel so lost and confused right now

Anxiety is like that of an elephant sitting on your chest. It gets harder to breathe and sometimes you shake so bad your teeth rattle. My arms would go numb my mouth would dry and my heart would race faster than a drum beat. My first year of being diagnosed with anxiety was hell. I won't lie I had no idea what to do except take pills and force yourself to be okay. My therapist and psychiatrist wanted to put me in a mental house because my symptoms were getting out of hand. Eventually I found peace... I still don't know how but I did. I wish I knew what to tell you that would help.
