Depression and tablets......

I have suffered from depression for years, tried different antidepressants but haven't really worked.

Should we take these tablets? Do they mask our symptoms, do they make us worse?

I personally decided not to try them even though I'd been offered on several occasions 1. I'm terrified of having bad reaction as friends have and 2. I don't think they're ideal because they're temporary or your stuck with them forever but then some people just need that help? Just my opinion though.

Hello, I can only speak for myself. Have PTSD. Generic Cymbalta and very small dosage of generic Welbutton upon rising are working for me....and right now I am dealing with a serious loss, but can tell I am sad over this loss and not having depression creeping in. Did have an appointment with my neuropsychiatrist yesterday to make certain about that because I thought should be getting past this death quicker, but he disagreed and assured me it was not depression.
