How to cope with paranoid suspicion and fear

I will appreciate if anybody can give me advice as to how to cope with and manage paranoid suspicion and fear. I even fear taking medication because I feel side effects of psychiatric medicines may create other health issues.

So sorry you are feeling this way. A few of my own thoughts. Talk to your psychiatrist or doctor about your fears as well as what side effects you are most concerned about with medicine. I already have issues with sleeping and don't want one that does that. it may help to keep a daily journal and giving your day a rating. And if you can label some fears, that's what you can focus on in therapy if you have a counselor. The journal helps me because I tend to freeze when an authority figure asks me how I am. "Good good no problems leave me alone" - the journal entries give me a better frame to the week.

Believe me you are NOT Alone! I have medicine phobia. I am going thru an increase right now because my anxiety shot up and my Dr feels as do I That my dose was too low.

Believe me when I tell you the meds do help. You just have to get used to them.

It usually takes about four to six weeks for them to really kick in.

As for the paranoia and fear right now I am in a bad spot with my anxiety and finding it hard to concentrate.

It is your mind causing all this mess. Perhaps look for coping skills, to help you when you feel the anxiety starting.

I am sure someone here will have better answers than me.

Hang in there!
