How can I be sure that my issues are real if my own family and boyfriend tell

Me that they don't believe in that, that they see me healthy, I'm asking for help and I can't find support in them. I don't know if it's right, what should they do ??

Anxiety is often a lonely place to be therefore family and friends don't always understand. Do YOU believe what you're feeling is real?....if so, then please don't doubt yourself. If you can, try and see a doctor. Explain how you are feeling and him/her may be able to help you. THEN you can hopefully speak to family members and in turn gain their support....if they don't understand then this forum is incredibly supportive. One of us is always around. I've been AWOL with a few issues myself but if you need a shoulder? Take care

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Sometimes I'm sacred at nights, I can't sleep and I imagine horrible things, sometimes I see those things, sometimes I don't. Then, I call my boyfriend so he tell me that everything is okay and to start talking about topics that make me forget a bit about the things I was thinking. But he keeps saying that my anxiety and a possible schizophrenia is a thing that a doctor once brought to my mind and I didn't forget, that is not real

I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner, having a problem with my daughter and bullies!. How are you feeling now? Did you see a Dr?. I'm not going to bombard you with questions don't worry lol. Nothing worse. Schizophrenia is completely different to anxiety honey. Altho anxiety is present in those with schizophrenia, someone would have realised I'm sure of that. If you don't hear voices, then please erase it from you mind. I hate labels but anxiety is one that needs addressing. Support you definitely need. The doctors always have to ask certain questions to determine what level your anxieties at, schizophrenia sticks out that bit more when we hear it doesn't it?. I beat depression, i did it hour by hour, I know I know that seems mad, different coping mechanisms work for different people and if I went an hour without feeling anxious, low, teary, panic attacks id give myself a pat on the back. To talk about how you feel is incredibly brave as many find it difficult and I hope you know that ppl on here only want the best for you. I've read the lovely replies you got....see? Support is here for you.

I really hope your daughter is okay

Thank you so much I found your reply very comfortable, I read it twice so I don't miss a thing.

It's difficult to say that I'm anxious because I feel it but I don't treat it

She's struggling bless her and thankyou so much for asking, I appreciate that. You need to treat the anxiety honey. If you don't, there's always the fear of it increasing. It's quite a taboo isn't it?. Often admitting there's a problem, makes it real. You have though which is fantastic. Some don't want help with their anxiety and i don't ever judge. I just know from experience and sticking my own head in the sand for so long that it can become worse, the symptoms more severe. You know your mind and body BUT pls will you consider going to the doctor?. You may be surprised. If you don't agree or feel uncomfortable or you feel they don't understand....go see another who will. It's more common than people realise. I'm always around(eventually lol) if you fancy a chat. J

I'll look for a doctor, it's just that my parents won't agree with that so it becomes difficult for me. Yes of course c:

I have dealt with OCD, anxiety and depression for years. My father a couple weeks ago called it CDC. They have no idea or interest in my struggles. It can be very disheartening. I am so glad to have found this group. Everyone hear can relate and encourage. I felt so alone and so crazy... but see other struggling exactly the same way I do has helped me see this as an illness. I am not crazy. My brain... just like any other organ is malfunctioning and setting off false alarm. Once I began to realize this more and more I can be kinder to myself and recognize the flooding thoughts for what they.

You are not alone in feeling the way you do. Please keep posting. We all need each other.

It's a shame your parents aren't on board, if you don't want to see a doctor without your folks permission then come on here and chat if you feel able. I can assure you most of us will have been there in one form or another and that does help, really it does. It's important, paramount infact to know you aren't alone. J

The feeling of being alone is common. Why? Anxiety is a lonely place to be. We could have 100 ppl in the room supporting us yet feel the walls are closing in. I remember rushing one morning for an early meeting(paramount I was there!). I suddenly had this overwhelming feeling of fear. I couldn't pinpoint why I was feeling this. I know my job and know my colleagues so it wasn't as if I was walking into a lions den. I broke down and cried.....and cried....and cried. Nothing had happened that morning, however it was bang in the middle of my depression. This site wasn't available then, infact everything was done by paper(I'm old lol)..the only person I could reason with was me...so yes I totally understand. I can honestly tell you there is always a light, you just won't see it. It's a dark place sometimes x

Sometimes when I cry a lot my throat closes and it's more difficult for me to breathe, my heart starts palpitating hard and I start to sweat... I just want to know if someone does the same :/

Sorry to hear your daughter is getting bullied. I was bullied as a kid and now I have 3 kids of my own. You sound like a good mom. And you going through this garbage I believe has perfectly suited you and strengthened you to help your daughter even more through such challenges life brings to you. Blessings to you and your kidos!

It's been a nightmare to be honest. My daughter has gone through it to the point of not wanting to be here at all. School deflect, sweep under the carpet, no culpability whatsoever so I teach her from home until she's confident to return to school. She has special needs and has fought most of her young life anyway. Wears hearing aids and thick glasses so her appearance the bullies love to poke fun at. Sad, very upsetting for her. J

I didn't mention your night time worries. With anxiety comes a whole package of 'not very nice' experiences. All different but generally related to how you feel. Do you know what I tell my daughter?. What's there before you turn the light off, doesn't change just because it's dark. Your eyes adjust, as does hearing. Blink 3 times, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth slowly, repeat until you feel calmer. Your boyfriend is doing the right thing with talking about different things to take your mind off it. If it helps and you need to speak of what you saw....tell him or pop here. I'll check for notifications regularly and as I'm often working from home in the evening I'm up until a silly o clock lol. J

Hi nice to meet you. Unless you have experienced anxiety it can be very hard to understand. It doesn't mean your family and bf don't love you or anything so don't read too much into it.

Seek help from a doctor. Remember you haven't got to tell anyone about it if you don't want to. There is some good info online about how to talk to others about it so have a look. Another tip is to tell them what you need and how they can help you. Often they are in denial and don't know how to respond so they ignore it instead.

Thanks you so much

Im soooo confused that I don't even know if they can help me, maybe being apart makes me feel better but, how can they help me? My bf always help me calling me at nights because I'm incredibly scared sometimes. But in concrete, what can they do to help me ? Is there a solution to anxiety and schizophrenia?? :D

in reply to 7304AmM

Hi. In your last reply to lilaclil, you asked questions that we can't answer, but why are you concern about them anyway?

It appears at the moment you are anxious about something, but doesn't necessarily mean you have chronic anxiety much less schizophrenia.

May I ask how old you are? I ask because life as a teenager or early 20's can be difficult just because of all the changes happening. If you are old enough to

be writing on this venue, hopefully you can find a counselor to talk out your fears and try to determine what is underlying them. If you do go to a doctor TALK with him/her and not just get meds you may not need. Ask for a referral to someone who can provide you with some guidance in stress and anxiety management first, which could be a great help for you. My best wishes to you....and take a deep breath now and then and stop worrying that you have some deep dark problem that cannot be resolved........and if a big smiling face appears in this reply to you, I have no idea why....don't think it's an

omen of something, ok? ok. :)

You need to go and see your doctor. I presume you are 16 or over?
