Herbal remedies???
Hi poppet.
I have friends who have tried them and they say they have helped. I always think it's a very indidvual thing as to how they work for different people.
I wanted to try them, unfortunately, although they are herbal they don't mix well with some medications, and I take some meds for high blood pressure and palpitations, which I can't take them with, as I asked my gp. 😩
I didn't realise this until I checked it out.
🌸
Yes its ashame they interact with other meds...ive had to ween myself off of prozac just to make it safe to try them.x
Yes it is. I think I would have tried them if it wasn't for that 😩
Hope if you try them they help x
I've tried St John's wort, but it didn't help much. I didn't take them for long. Maybe I needed to give it longer. It might help you. Different for everyone. ☮
Thank you
I'm not sure if it would be the same for all people, but for me it took 2 weeks to start working.
Hi I have never heard of the 1st one but I have heard St Johns Wort can be good for those with mild depression. I hope it helps you.
Hi I bought it and I am on a mixture of medication and it says contact your GP before starting to take it so it's still lying in the medicine cabinet

St. John's wort is very popular in Germany and Scandinavia as a depression remedy. Doctors prescribe St. John's wort in Germany so they think it works.
Always check with your doctor before taking anything herbal, esp if you're on other meds.
St. John's wort appeals to me too. It appears to have fewer side effects than conventional antidepressants. But will only help with mild anxiety and depression (if it helps).
Good luck, best wishes 💗
I take St. John's Wort. It works well for me. The brand I buy is Sundown Naturals. I get it at my local pharmacy (CVS). According to the instructions, you can take up to 6 a day, but my doctor doesn't want me taking more than 4. I was taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night earlier in the year when I hit a rough patch. I now take 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Sometimes I take 2 at night when I feel I need it. The year I was first diagnosed with depression I was taking the maximum dose of Zoloft. It's always going to be a battle for me, but at least now I feel like I'm winning. I also do qigong and tai chi. They both help with my depression. There's some good instruction videos on You Tube.
