Looking for a way to reduce my everyday anxiety. I practice yoga; see a therapist; and take 10mg a day; but I still have fear when interviewing (I currently have a job I love) and dealing with stressful situations. I ready for hard work. Thanks!

anxiety is indeed a light suffering condition, almost a feeling of not being able to cope with life. Against that then, please try and adopt a more humble mindset - expect less from life, so life isn't so great, then so what. So you fail in a situation in your own eyes, is anyone else really bothered? they are more interested in the things that affect themselves that what you are up to. Be content with very little, loads have very little - see the litany of people on this website, you are the first of 24 possible communications this day alone !

As well as thinking less or smaller or taking less notice or reducing the importance of your own thoughts and emotions, you need to do humble and unfulfilling duties like the house domestics, tdiying, washing, shopping.

Another way is to listen to other people better, even if you are not that interested in what they say, this is raising up other people in importance and has the same effect.

Practice all these things and you will find comfort in humbling yourself and when the anxiety does come, which it will, you won't be as affected for you will be more able to accept adversity or bounce back when things dont go so well.

All this though takes practice, it won't come overnight - but stick at it and you will see a difference before long

good luck

Richard - Many thanks for your reply. I love humble and unfulfilling duties...so that's the easy part. Failure is harder. And you're right... listening is another great tool and I have made that my goal for the year. Thank you for your validation!

Cital....10mg. daily - it helps a lot. I have a corporate job that I love. Recruiters often call me. I talk to them to keep my skills sharp. Some opportunities are interesting, so I take the next step to gain more information. That's when I get freeze up. The thought of failing a job interview is paralyzing. As for music, dark choc, exercise, hydration, and yoga three times a week (4.5 hrs) + great health and wellness (per my doctors) - I still have panic attacks. Most recently I passed out. I can't fix this overnight, but I am learning to manage and acceptance is the first step. THANK YOU.

you sound like a caring person so you'll bo ok - when you listen, the remember you will have to talk less so you'll need to hold the urge. For a while you could find this very uncomfortable as you are moving outside your comfort zone, but the reward is worth it

I have found so much comfort with These YouTube videos by Teal Swan, one is called how to stop panic attacks. Just listening to them teaches you so much about what's going on inside your mind and body during a panic attack. Hope this helps. Warm regards 😌

Ye, I get panic ttacks and I almost start to collapse in front of everyone, but it never actually happens, it nearly does and thats where the fear is and it feels very unpleasant. So its almost but never an actual disaster
