I don't know a whole lot about it but I had it and then it went away within a few months. It was not to the volume where I couldn't hear other things. I definitely heard it but kind of got used to it. I've had ongoing problems with my ears but the specialist really didn't give me any advice. I read that William Shatner had it severely when he was on Star Trek and he said it was driving him to the brink of insanity, however he learned to live with it and look at him now. How is yours, is it blocking out other sounds or are you bothered more when there is quiet?
