Radionuclide-Containing Combo Slows Metastatic Prostate Cancer, Improves Survival, MedPage Today September 15, 2024
While this is mostly relevant for those with bone mets, it does indicate better OS with the combo of Xtandi and Xofigo (2 Xs are better than 1). Several links are available in the article for those who want to dig a bit deeper. ********************************************************************* [

PA and the Dentist
I have found someone who understand PA ! My new dentist. I have had PA since 2015 and this is only the second person. The other was a physiotherapist whose sister had it. I broke a tooth and had to see a different partner in the practice and told her I had PA and she said " oh dear, that is difficult

High calprotectin
hi everyone, I’m going for a colonoscopy/endoscopy next week and I’m feeling really worried for the procedure and results. I’ve had coeliac disease for 10 years, but recently have been experiencing a lot of acid reflux and mucus in my stool. My calprotectin was 295, which I understand is quite high.

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

Has anyone tried MRI Defecography tests for rectum and anal pain? It’s a first suggested to me. Don’t know if this may help diagnose this pain.

Will Existing Drugs Stop Cancer's Bone Spread? I don't know but it's driving me crazy!
Just because I cannot know which are the two repurposed drugs that seem to have such great results with metastasis. The chief researcher is Neta Erez who has great reputation in research about bone metastasis. I am inclined to think about Ivermectin as one of the possible components of the cocktail,

Ketogenic diet alters the epigenetic and immune landscape of prostate cancer to overcome resistance to immune checkpoint blockade therapy.
Overall, this strikes me as too hypothetical for us to apply, but what do I know? "Overall, these findings illuminate a potential clinical path of using HDACi and optimized KD regimens to enhance ICB therapy for PCa." HDACi = histone deacetylase inhibitor [To date, four HDAC inhibitors, Vorinostat

New diagnosis
I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis and, about 2 years later, Polymyalgia Rheumatica. My life has drastically changed between the pain and total exhaustion. Any words of advice would be most welcome.

hey everyone! I’ve been dealing with anal fissures on and off ever since giving birth back in 2016. I used to be able to go months and months before having a retear.
