Quantiferon TB Golf test before starting Actemra
Hi . this is Groda again. My Rheum wants me to start on Actemra for my GCA. He prescribed a Quantiferon TB Golf test (IGRA) before starting Actemra. Would like to know if anyone else had to have this test before starting Actemra. Also, for those that were on Actemra, how long where you on it? Infusion

Oral Anticoagulation and Inter Cranial Bleeds - meta-analysis report
I would emphasise that this information and study ONLY applies to those who have had 2 specific types of Cranial bleeds and have AF and looks at the risks for these people versus net benefit resulting in a caution to doctors. Mebeverine
Hi all, just wondering about Mebeverine as my GP has prescribed this in the past, and I have it on repeat prescription. I do not take this regularly, as I seem to find that I can't take it before my evening meal as I have to take other meds then.Just wondering if anyone has taken the 2x a day slow release

Lab Tests Indicate High Lipase
Has anyone taking prednisone and Actemra had a high lipase on their routine lab tests. I’m on 4 mg prednisone and bi-weekly injections of Actemra for GCA. I get lab tests every month, and the past several months Lipase is high (usually around 60-70). I’ve done a CT scan with the dye, and was told

Dull pain back of head and neck.
My hubby has had ongoing issues with his left ear, doc thought he had an ear infection, was given antibiotics, didn’t help. Then he started with headaches which was unusual for him. He then had a fullness feeling in his head, constantly tired and a dull pain at the back of his head. Also has tinnitus

declining & blurred sight in one eye
I have glaucoma in my left eye which used to be my dominant eye. The right eye is so far fine although very short-sighted. Sight in left eye is 6/120 and 6/12 in right and I have (again) managed to pass DVLA test. However I do struggle with TV, reading supermarket signs, etc because of the blurred vision

Aortitis
I was diagnosed with non cranial Giant Cell Arteritis in September last year. So far I haven't managed to find anyone else with this condition because most people have the temporal version with the headaches.Mine is Aortitis which apparently is rare. I'd love to share experiences with someone else

Weight loss and Ketogenic diets
Hi Team,I'm curious about people experience with Ketogentic diets? I've let medication settle for four months now, and can see that much needed weight loss will be a grind . 😐 I have read about Ketogentic diets and was generally sceptical about dietary restriction. First line information often states

Vagus Nerve Stimulation for RLS
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37846650/ An interesting study on Vagus Nerve Stumulation on 15 drug resistant RLS patients showed significant improvements in quality of life scale and that 2 of the 15 reduced their IRLSS below 5. The study doesn't say what meds the patients were taking. Sadly, they
