New diagnosis

I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis and, about 2 years later, Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

My life has drastically changed between the pain and total exhaustion. Any words of advice would be most welcome.

Hi Miacaro45I am sorry you are suffering so much pain at this time. I respect you as an elder as you have made it to 79, well done! I don't think the medicines they offer us help much and they may even make us suffer more. Cannabis may be the answer. It's green, grows in the ground and would definately put a spring in your step and a smile on your face. Better to go out laughing! I think there are cannabis clinics in the USA . Best of luck! 😄

Thank you. Appreciate your answer. The state of Georgia will be opening the first cannabis clinic near me by June.

Its hard to deal with so many symptoms throughout the day . My advice would be research self-help your Conditions .

Pain can be eased if you keep moving easy steps 🚶‍♂️ will relax your muscles. using warm oils over you painful muscles will also help. Looking at you Dietary information to see if there any food which may create flare-ups in your conditions.

Take vitamins which support your energy levels lots of vitamin C. look at your vegetables intake and increase if possible this will support your immune system.

For pain I use a tens machine and sit down exercises to keep my mind-set focused to being mobile.

Some simple goals to see what you can improve your well-being.

Looking at your energy levels research .

Lifestyle ( changes which will support your movements )

Dietary requirements

Weight balance

Chair 💺exercises (on YouTube) will help you.

To change your Mind-set listen to music or podcast or things you like doing that takes you to a different place away from pain.

Checking out the support in your local community centres or on line.

Don't let these symptoms over take you as a person. Positive attitude is key for getting the better of any healing. Recall how you use to be. hold on to that mindset as your still there 🤔 just dealing with so much more and you can deal with this.

Listen to your body its giving you messages on how to heal it.

Rest when you need to but move throughout the day. You have many members on this site who understand you and therefore that does so help.

I not sure my advice can help you but have a go and see how you go.

Big hugs 🫂 🤗 good luck keep pushing forward because your worth it 👌 x x

Just wanted too say welcome from Suffolk England, you have a lot too contend with and glad you have some nice prelims from members, I have CFS with my Fibro so I can empathise with horrid fatique, our weather is not very nice and soon too be in May, I really need it too warm up so I can at least be outside abit more , we have our Central heating system still on and I do like a good warm soak with my Epsom salts (always well stocked in the cabinet) I just ordered some cream that’s called Cannabis hemp cream it has different herbs and I’ve read it’s made up of cannibas flowers in the mixture so currently giving that ago. Always run anything you use by your pharmacist or doctor 1st .i am sure you do already, well I am 62 yrs my head tells me a lot less but my body feel a lot older sometimes 😉take care xx
