Hi Brothers haven't posted for awhile but I'm coming up on my two years of treatments and Doc told me no need to come back next month which will be my two year anniversary so I'm posting now. All my numbers were close to normal, PSA still 0.1 as is Testosterone at its lowest. I feel good other than the side effects of ADT we all experience.
My treatments :
Generic Zytiga, 750 mg. 10mg. Prednisone, 6 month Eligard, Xgeva injection which were stopped three months now due to Calcium drop, Provenge infusions back in June.
I'm also waiting on results of my genetic testing to get more refined results of the Cancer. My Doctor said he couldn't be happier with my results and to take a month off . I'm so grateful to this site and my medical staff for all of its support. Keep up the good fight my Brothers. Leo

I had Provenge in March. Also was put on Olaparib, replacing Zytiga/Predisone when PSA was rising, as a result of genetic testing and being BRCA2+. PSA undetectable for 12 mos so far. Still on Eligard & Xgeva.
I have been told at times since I was diagnosed in 2009 that I didn't need to see the onco doc so often, but I have had Psa tests at least every 4 months and I get a follow up afterwards to review situation, and most of the time, something was tried, and Psa went low for awhile, the began to rise. So you MUST keep getting Psa tests. Don't ever assume its over until Psa has been < 0.01 for many years. Here in Australia we measure Psa right down to the 0.01 level. There are some men who have no detectable Psa after say a successful RP where they got all prostate gland cells removed, so no small amount was left to generate a small Psa. Wherever some PG cells are not removed in an RP, it is possible they may become cancerous given enough time.
Congratulations Leo! Great news, thanks for sharing.
Congratulations Leo. Keeping working to get your PSA at <0.1. What is T presently? By month off, I take it to mean that your Doc will see you in March rather than February........ and medication continues.
Never had any other therapy or surgery other than what's been posted. I've been on Zytiga, prednisone for two years with the exact numbers poster. That's what my Doctor has prescribed that's what I take.
Great news! My doctor has always seen me about every 3 months for about 15 minutes or less. Psa 0.1 for about last 6 months. Just changed to Xgeva every 3 months because dr. said after 2 years "Your teeth may fall out." She forgot to mention that the teeth would still be attached to the jaw. And I've already been doing Xgeva once a month for almost 3 years. I foolishly asked if I should get my psa checked every 3 months also and she agreed. Hang on to the oiled pig!
