Went for my 7th month check-up today with my MO . He said all my blood work came back normal and all results are in my favor PSA is undetectable. I thank God everyday for my professional ,knowledgeable doctor and his staff for helping to save my life. My doctor says he could not be any happier with my results and my numbers. I know we all hear the bad news about the beast we all have to confront but I thought some positive news would be a welcome addition. Remember my Brothers in arms. Never give up never surrender. Leo

***7 Months so far so good***
So happy for you Leo! May I ask your history and treatments and doctors? Thank you!
Diognoses was on February 27th of this year it's a date I'll not soon forget. My primary Doctor sent me for routine blood work discovered high PSA 14.7 fadt forward to my Urologist/ Oncologist he recommended Dr. Gordon Brown of New Jersey Urology. I was sent to get the usual barrage of tests only to find out I had Advanced Prostate Cancer the moved to bones and lymph node. Dr. Brown immediately injected me with Lupron and started my regiment of Zytiga, Prednisone, and Xgeva for the bone Mets after the first month my PSA was undetectable and I was started on six months injection of Eligard. I feel better than I have in years and hope to stay that way.
Did they not recommend any radiation?
No he hasn't mentioned radiation yet but I'm going for follow up CT scan and Full body bone scans in a few weeks before my October appointment with him so I guess nothing is off the table as far as treatments go.
My results are encouraging to say the least so status quo for now. Leo
Hi! My sister and I just joined to learn more to help our father. He has metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer that has spread to his bone. He just found out that docetaxel is most likely not working. He went for his 5th treatment and his PSA levels went up instead of down so they held off the next treatment and are having him retake some tests today/tomorrow. We saw that you went to a doctor in New Jersey. We are in the Philadelphia area so we were wondering what hospital he is in. We appreciate any and all help!
His name is Dr. Gordon Brown of the South Jersey Urology.
He is affiliated with Jefferson,Lourds, and Cooper Hospitals. I go to his office in Sewell NJ. On Egg Harbor rd. But he has several throughout the South Jersey area. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Dr. Brown and his staff they are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I have been assigned a case worker in his office that handles my every need in fighting the beast. His phone # is 856-582-9645 I know he is doing his best to save my life and I'm not just a number I'm a patient in his able care. best of luck . Leo
