my story goes back to 2010 . At the age of 45 I had a major mental breakdown with terrible voices and was sectioned for 3 months and had E.C.T of which bought me back to life . After getting over this was diagnosed with glaucoma and lost the sight in my left eye .it just went from bad to worse because my next illness was sepsis of my bladder which was touch and go but yet again I made it . In 2020 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and had to have a small bowel resection.on top of all this I have degenerative disc disease of my neck and lower back and waiting for surgery. To top it all off I’ve just been diagnosed with cirrhosis of my liver and a blood disorder of which I’m currently waiting for my tests to determine if it’s cancer but I’m a fighter and I’m not going to let it get the better of me.im out every day helping homeless people and I’m also very spiritual and this has helped me through my illnesses .im a happy go lucky guy and love to make my friends laugh,im an empath and feel people’s pain and sorrow.life is precious and im grateful for the life that I’ve had good times and bad and praying that i will have more time to carry on helping others.well that’s my story and the title says it all . God bless you all and may your lives be happy and healthy 🙏🙏

Dear RikD it looks like you have been having a tough time from nearly 15 years. And through it all, you have been reaching out to help others. So, it doesn't seem fair the hand you have been dealt by life. I admire your courage and attitude towards your own problems. God bless you and I pray you continue with reasonably good health for a long time to come.
That all sounds tough! So well done for keeping your spirits up! Do you have the capacity and ability to do a few walks here and now? It always lifts my spirits.
Just in case you were not aware, this is a walking forum using the NHS Active10 app. So if walking is a possibility, at the bottom or side of these posts should be the link to the Active10 app.
We encourage each other on this forum to walk regularly, as much or as little as we can. We also love to see pictures of our walks. So if you walk regularly, we’d love to cheer you on your walking journey. Pictures are also always welcome. 😃
Alternatively, there are other forums on HealthUnlocked that might also be of interest to you. There is one for supporting individuals with Crohn’s disease, for instance, at healthunlocked.com/crohns-c... or the Forum of the British Liver Trust healthunlocked.com/britishl...
Hope this helps, it sounds like you have a lot going on, so it’s inspiring to read how you are meeting these challenges. Life can throw us many curves in so many ways.
Happy walking!
