An extended cool down walk…

Monday 13th January…

Even at my snail’s pace…when I’m running, I’m focused on my running.

So when I had a short run planned along the canal, I took the opportunity to run the short distance out, and then to walk back…with the time to have a good look around.

There had been a beautiful sunrise to start my day, and it wasn’t too cold. So on my walk back I saw several ducks, and a pair of goosanders. I was also extremely pleased to see a flash of orange and blue…yes, a kingfisher! Now you may not believe it, but the small orangey blob in the middle of the centre picture is that kingfisher!

All in all, a very satisfying walk!

I’m sure you have plenty of lovely places near you…you just have to find them!

I live on a housing estate…my Lockdown exercise photos weren’t quite so pretty 😉

All calm this morning, but we were worried yesterday about this one tree, which is leaning a bit and is against a boundary wall that now has a crack in it. We might have to chop it down. 😟
