#25DayChallenge: sludging through it

I’m not sure ‘sludging’ is a word, but if it’s not, it should be. I had a hard and emotional work day, as colleagues are going through a restructure with cuts. Sigh.

So I only finished at 6pm, and my indoor rowing session with an online community was going to be starting in 30 minutes.

I hesitated only one minute. The thought of failing our walking challenge already on the second day gave me the needed nudge to get out there, and the last evening sunshine also helped pull me out the door.

But I had time only for a quick 15 min walk, where I contemplated on how even such small but regular walks should hopefully help my metabolism stay energetic and help my body in coping with all sorts of things. The moving body …

Back home, I had to be quick to get on my rower, and after a good intensive 30 minutes I finished with the Five Tibetan Rites, 7 reps each.

All in all, I’m happy.

Hope everyone else is also happy with their walks?

Firstly, well done on managing to complete a walk despite all the other challenges you have had today. Congratulations!

I have done my usual walk with Monroe today, although not without it's problems. We have some diversions in place down very small country lanes just now and we both nearly got plowed down by not one, but two, different white van men obviously far more concerned about making their next drop off than considering the safety of a middle aged woman and her dog 😠

Still, we managed 1.7 miles unscathed and I've clocked 7,855 steps today, so I'm on track to reach my 8,000 target again today.

That’s an awesome number of steps! Well done! And boo to those vans going around too fast on those country lanes! They should know better!

Well done . You won’t have the bad devil saying you shouldn’t have done that. I bet the fresh air helped as well and get your rowing done as well. I know how u feel trying to fit things in when you’re working, not enough hours in the day. Good for u x

What a busy day!! Reading your post has made me feel VERY lazy 😬 Very well done for fitting in that walk 👍

LOl! Well, I feel actually that I lead a too sedentary lifestyle, and my activities only come in intense bursts in the morning (running) or early evening (rowing)..

I need to spread my activities a bit more, like someone who walks regularly with their dogs 🐶 🐾, which I feel leads to an overall more active lifestyle.

So I’ll need to be trying to spread my activities a bit more throughout the day.

Fitting exercise around work is difficult, I think you do really well with all you do. Most work days I don’t even manage a walk (although I am on my feet all day!) but next week I am determined to have a 10 minute walk after work - got to finish this challenge! 😂

Goodness, this challenge is certainly keeping you motivated 😁 great you managed to fit it all in

Well, it was only a 10 min walk. (Grinning sheepishly) And that is still difficult for me, much more than hopping on the rower, or doing 5 minutes of Tibetan Rites.
