Today I decided to go to Caister beach and see what it's like.First nice surprise was going to buy a parking ticket and a sign on the machine saying this car park is free π might be because it's out of season, I don't know but very welcome .
The sand dunes aren't too steep here but definitely upwards a bit and I was soon puffing, then I crested the top and there was the sea, I had a nice wander along the shore, saying hello to people I passed, then back to the car.
It wasn't long and it certainly wasn't fast but I enjoyed the walk, rather gloomy weather but it didn't rain until I was back in the car π.
Happy walking challengers πnearly the end of the month

That looks like a really gorgeous beach.. beautiful dunes but soft sand like that is the worst to walk on! Our local beaches donβt slope as much so no dunes and the grasses donβt grow.. the tides tend to come right up to the sea walls or the cliffs.. so not usually such a big expanse of the softer sand. I love how the beaches around our coastline vary so much even within a few miles.
Yes, even a few miles away the beach is so different, I'm hoping to explore more local beaches, but you are right, it was hard d work walking on the sand
