Walking certainly played a part in this !

As some of you will know, I have been on quite a journey since Feb 27th this year !And a lot of that journey has involved many miles of walking (and MAF running)

But just wanted to share some good news !

I had an interim assessment with the diabetes clinic yesterday carried out on a telephone appointment.

The result of which was a alteration to my medical records which now show.

Type 2 Diabetis in Remission 😬

It's taken a lot of hard work and dedication but so worth it !

HbA1c now back to normal, so even below the pre diabetic level 😊

Looking at the graph it was a slow 5 year rise , but just a dedicated 5 months to bring it back to normal!

Wow! That is amazing!!! If this doesn't show the power of exercise (and diet change, I presume?) I don't know what. Thank you so much for sharing, Instructor57 , this is very inspiring!

I rarely share pictures of myself for reasons that are probably obvious from the top picture which was taken around 3 years ago !

The bottom picture was 3 days ago !

Thank you !And yes, absolutely with it .

And strangely enough (or not) my plantar Fasciitis appears to be behaving now

ChannelRunner2 profile image
ChannelRunner22000miles per year in reply to Instructor57

That was my experience with plantar fasciitis... I did "everything" the PT told me - until I got tired of it since the PF didn't seem to improve. And then it got better 🀣 Although I still wiggle my toes before getting out of bed to "wake up my feet"... Maybe it's just something that does get better over time - unless we do something to make it worse...

Yes, I had this situation previously with pf, it came , stuck around about 6 months and the went again .The only similarities I can draw are that both times it has disappeared coincide with significantly less weight πŸ€”

Excellent news. You must be pleased. Please do share your dietary tips and how long did you walk each day?

Instructor57 profile image
Instructor57 in reply to pdm66

Thank you !My dietry tips are simple.

Very low carb, no added sugar, only "Real foods"

If it has a ingredients list I don't eat it 😁

And Intermittent fasting.

Nothing exceptional with the excercise, walking maybe 5000 + steps most days , a little bit of running and gym usually 2x/week.

The most important ingredient in the journey was determination!
