Well, it's my first venture out in a few days now the temperatures are beginning to fall, so I took some photos of brambles, rosehips, sloes and even some wild hops I spotted locally in a hedgerow.
I don't usually take my phone out when I walk (it's "my time"), but after reading CBDB s post I was inspired to do a bit of snapping of my own. Monroe, my lovely Dogue de Bordeaux walking companion, wasn't impressed with stoppages for photo oppportunities, but tolerated it as she's not been out in days because of her brachycephalic skull and high temperatures..........not conducive to her good health 😢......and was just grateful to be out and about, bless her 🥰
It's amazingly abundant here just now and I will be out over the next couple of evenings with a picking bowl in hand - rosehip syrup, blackberry and apple crumble, sloe gin, and even maybe some home brew beer in the offing 👍

Sloe gin is awesome, but we're not big drinkers, so ours is 2-3 years old now and we have an occasional sloe & tonic - the flavour is intense and complex now: utterly delicious!
