Thank you, Iāve seen it on my garmin but havenāt taken much notice. Interesting that yours is better since youāve had your stents. āŗļøšš»
VO2 is great news. Maybe itās a sign that once youāre fitness is back, you might find running (or walking) is easier in terms of aerobic activity, as your body works now better in pumping blood and oxygen around it again? But I have no clue. But there is possibly that to look forward to, as you bide your patience during your walks?
And those pics from your walks look calming, so staying at the walking phase might not be so bad! Do you have more time also for your horsy friend?
Lovely and well done! My experience is that after illness it is actually more difficult to fight those gremlins, and you are giving those gremlins a good chase!
unexpected health problems can be a scary placeā¦
My unexpected health issues were not as dramatic as yoursā¦raised BMI, BP and type 2 diabetesā¦but both my Dad and his Mum had died from strokes. At that time, I was not a runnerā¦it wasnāt even on my radar. I built up to walking 2 miles on a regular basis. Donāt knock the walkingā¦sometimes itās all we can doā¦
When you do start running againā¦think about yourself as a ānewbieā. Restart C25k. Reread all the adviceā¦you know the programme works.
I canāt remember if youāre a Coach Bennett fanā¦but amongst his pearls of wisdom is thisā¦donāt waste time thinking about previous runs, donāt worry about the runs to come, just enjoy the run youāre in. If you made it to the start lineā¦youāre a winner.
I walked for 6 months before I plucked up the courage to start runningā¦youāll know when youāre ready for your new start.
Oh and happy to read that Misty is fully charged again! š
