we decided to go a walk around the loch but Mr D hadn’t told me there were cows at the other side of loch. First part was ok , people swimming in the loch . I bet it was freezing. Trod over the styles and saw some fresh cow pats. Mr D said they were up the hill, but when we came in distance of them they started to come down . I was absolutely petrified , near tears , especially about 100 cows coming towards you and when we got near the style the were encircling. Mr D said don’t run but was still scared . Got safely over and told aMr D would t go there again, just the first part. Glad to get out of there. Not the walk I would have planned.

Walk ok first half to encountered cows
Cows, cows, cows, moo moo Doris8, a bit frightening for you and Mr D, most cows won't harm anyone but under those circumstances seeing 100 cows coming towards you it does look a bit scary, from now on you will go a walk away from any cows.
That's a lot if cows I always thought they were curious but if you waved your arms and made a noise they'd back off but I think I'd be scared too with that many, and I grew up around cows!
oh no! But the pics look amazing! But so sorry to hear you had a scare. I also avoid cow pastures wherever I can.
We once had to cross a field in the dark with cows left in, and using flashlights on our walk the eyes of cows glowed like floating, moving lights in the dark! Spooky, but at least the cows stayed where they were! And we only saw ca 20 pair of spooky disembodied eyes. 👀 👀 👀 👀
Oh gosh... understandable...cows are big creatures and curious... well done you!
Goodness, that's a LOT of cows!! We have cows grazing on the commons every year here in Cambridge, I love to see them, but there are never more than about dozen.
