just a short 4.64km walk in snowy conditions. Had yaktrax on trainers incase of slippage. -3 when walking. Think could be -5 tonight. Mr D and I just went a short walk before lunch and after we did housework together, Mr D uses the heavy hoover. We saw some men cutting back some diseased trees, they looked frozen. Went back up the river , really foggy which made it colder . Back home for baked potato and dairy free cheese and chicken. Fingers were in a lot of pain with the cold so glad to get back home. Enjoy your wee, state safe and cosy. PS there are 2 people in the distance but have to scroll to see unless good eyesight.

snowy walk

A beautiful early winter walk for you today Doris8, lovely photo, no snow where I am but I managed to get a cold 0C 3K run today at the least coldest time of the day at 1:15pm before the temperature drops to - 4C later in the day
Is your parkrun cancelled tomorrow
No it's not cancelled as far as I know, for the first time tomorrow I will be a marshall at Palacerigg parkrun on Saturday morning, the weather forecast is for the temperature to be around - 2C at 9.,30 with the possibility of a light snowfall in the early morning around 6 o'clock

That is beautiful! No snow for us here in Cheshire … yet!
Beautiful, but chilly! No snow here, but that freezing mist and -5 at 0800 this morning: Brrrrr!

thanks. Same here on our walk this morning. 🥶

Beautiful. No snow here in mid Wales, which is quite surprising really, but the winter is young yet.
You mentioning your yak tracks reminds me I'm gonna have to dig mine out - they saved my life more than once last year!
I was having a horrible long covid day yesterday & I really didn't move very much at all, but a bit livelier today thankfully. I went out to meet an old friend in Abergavenny & l had a mooch around. I hope to put in more steps later on, on the treadmill but we shall see as I'm feeling a bit deflated again now 🥱

oh hope I feel better soon, I won’t be without my yaktrax in this weather as scared I fall with the osteoporosis and gives me a wee bit more confidence.

🍏👏Light at the end of the tunnel😆
Love your photo & the beautiful light captured!! Wow would never have seen the two persons if you hadn’t mentioned it!!
I amsure many of us will be using yaxtrax this winter. 🥶 🧊

That was the only light part. the sun happen to shine at that particular moment. I can see what you’re meaning😊

Beautiful but cold
