I went a walk with Mr D first through the housing estate, then past the horses in the fields . We went through the village and onto the wooded walk with tables and chairs set out if you want a picnic , you wouldn’t get much sun in the woods, but good if you have a dog as well. Took my first picture of the wild primrose, starting to go back now , through the local village and back along the daffodil walk area. Took a couple of photo wild buttercups and a yellow bush next to a wall but not sure of its name. Left Mr D as his back and foot playing up (what a pair we are) and went further along the daffodil walk to the old station and down into town where I saw some sunflowers outside, before getting Mr D roll for lunch. When I got back home to a photo of daffodils and a yellow shrub but again not sure what it’s called. The blackbird being there as has a yellow beak but he was waiting for his raisins and got them after posing. Full board he is here, and so tame. So friendly 😊

Seven beautiful photos Doris8, that was a nice spring walk you had today with Mr D✅🚶well done 😀
Thanks Al Morr. Just short of 5 km when go to home so went around football pitch to get my 5 km . Pity no sun.
Pity no sun but at least it wasn't lashing down with rain.
Yesterday for my Sunday morning walk I walked 10K, this Monday morning I took a trip on the train to Helensburgh on the west coast of Scotland, now this is the same place that I ran run 3 of week 9 of C25K, my graduation run on Monday 18th June 2018, however, today I had a nice 3K walk along the prom, I only saw 1 runner, the weather was cloudy but dry.
That sounds a good walk , we’re a bit far away from a promenade.. like watching the sea rolling in. Well done on your 10 km walk , mines yesterday was a wee bit shorted 6.25 km but longer than I have been going and suffered after it. Think tomorrow meant to be sunnier.
such a glorious bunch of yellow colours! And I can see the yellow beak on the black bird!
Wonderful yellows!
Lovely yellows there
I particularly like the blackbird Doris8 - how kind of him to pose nicely for you! I'm not sure what those shrubs are either. We have a lot of gorse around here which is that shade of yellow but a different shape of flower.
Sue
The shrub is Broom (Cytisus). It’s like gorse…but no spines!
It’s a member of the pea family. Not sure about the other unknown. Bottom right *is* a member of the buttercup family…called Lesser Celandine.
Here endeth the botany lesson 😂🌼😉
Beautiful
Oh my!! Just lovely! And that blackbird too... I was not quick enough to snap one today! x
