Thank you all for your encouraging posts. I have managed to get a little further today but would so liked to have done more. I really need to lose weight!!! I guess the less I have to carry the further I can get. My back is quite painful but I intend to start swimming again to see if that helps. Still little steps and onwards and upwards.

You are doing very well Pansy123, just take your walks and swimming at a gentle pace, also, eating a controlled healthy diet can help you with your weight reduction.
Little increases will work wonders and keep you going for a lot longer than big ones. The most successful exercise programs rely on slow and steady gentle increases, it allows the body to adjust and adapt easier. You are making a great start, well done. Rfc x
You’re doing everything right... we start small and build slowly, then we can achieve impossible things. Great work. Swimming will help a lot with general fitness and will give you some strengthening. I just read your other posts... can’t wait to read when you run for 30 minutes... and of course you will.
Swimming is great. Also, if your joints are sore, walking in a pool is good exercise as well. Happy walking.
