I suppose the reason is that the tablet and the phone are held in different manner, e.g. one in your hand and the other in your pocket. The one in your hand is heavier and the movement of the hand works as shock absorber. So the data is not detected correctly by the sensors. It may not happen every time - every walk is different but that is the reason. Active 10 is designed for mobile phones.

I thought that data was recorded on one device and then linked/synced with other devices ¿Does Active 10 not do that? ...so data sensed by a device on the wrist can be displayed on a mobile phone.

Oh gosh Relsbury, I'm so sorry but I can't even hazard a guess! I'm a dreadful technophobe and don't use the/any app - they're beyond me! Hopefully one of our tech savvy members will have some insight into the problems.

Hi all, the tablet works well, but the new software is not giving fast walking speeds. The devices need GPS this tracks us. Not steps. The bands on our wrists generally count steps, I need to do brisk mins, intact we all and that is the object of Active 10.

I will compare with an iPhone later in the week.

Still need to know how fast BRISK walking is!!!

Thanks for responding. Regards Richard

I think "brisk" is about 5km/hour or 3 miles per hour.

Does Active 10 not record GPS distance? and give you maps of your walks?
