Well, this is the 2nd day that I've managed 4000 steps - but not all in one go, I hasten to add! I've done a 6/7 minute brisk walk in the morning and a longer, slower walk in the afternoon. I'll be having a 2 day rest now, as I've just had my monthly chiropractic treatment, but I'm going to really try to keep up the 4000 steps next week!

Checking in. I'm learning that my pedometer is not accurate. I installed a different one that seems better, and have decided that 30 minutes, 1.5 miles and 3200 steps is where I am. I am going to work on speed to attain a higher step count and distance. My walk in the park with my son (30 minutes ; I did not count steps or distance totally wiped me out. The weather has turned rainy. Today I swam laps and walked in the pool for 30 minutes. That totally wiped me out too, I did 'recover after a 30 minute nap. Tomorrow my exercise will probably be strength training with a dvd. I will check in next week.

Thanks runswithdogs - I vary so much from day to day! So even if I can't do as much as I want I've learned to be philosophical - if I don't manage to achieve my goal today, maybe I will tomorrow!
