Hello

I want to stop taking cholesterol drugs and try myself to get healthier. Has anyone any advice? I am worried because my eyesight has changed since taking statins.

My husband took up cycling, and lost about 2 stones, although he is now only just in the high range at 5 the doctors still want him to take statins to get down to a 4. He tried a few different varieties before he found the one that didn’t cause too many side effects.

Have you had full thyroid tests done? Do you have any symptoms suggesting underactive thyroid? That can cause high cholesterol, and when you're properly medicated your cholesterol often comes down.
