I’m coming up 55 I was taking decapeptyl injections to shrink fibroids over the last couple of years and to avoid surgery
All was well no bleeding on jab and fibroids didn’t bleed and shrunk
I went back for my check up and to come off the injection in October of last year
It is now February and I have started to bleed like a period
I would have thought I would be in menopause now or could this be the fibroids bleeding
I shall have to consult them for advice
Has anyone come off decapeptyl at menopause age and had bleeding?

🤔If you have vaginal blood loss, it’s unlikely to be linked to Fibroids.
You need to speak to your GP for peace of mind.

Fibroids bleed I had terrible blood loss and anaemia because of this prior to being on decapeptyl
Wondering if it’s a period or something else

If your Fibroids bleed, and blood loss is from your rectum………it will not be a period.

I’m not bleeding from my rectum 😄 nor did I say I had been are you confusing fibroids with haemorrhoids ?
I’ve been treated for fibroids for the past few years
What I’m asking is whether anyone else has had an experience of coming off decapeptyl and periods returning
I had thought I had gone through menopause whilst on decapeptyl and at 55 seems strange having a period after 2 yrs without it
Yes I’ll contact my consultant but I was hoping for someone who had been through similar experience

Please accept my sincere apologies
🙈For some inexplicable reason…yes I referred to Fibroids..as Haemorrhoids 🙈
I actually woke this morning at 5.45…and this was the first thing on my mind.
But..I’d previously searched Healthunlocked for mention of Decapeptyl..
