Hello,Back in October, not long after ovulation I had abnormal bleeding. There was most blood on the day it started (only visible when wiping) and then there was smaller amounts of spotting on and off until my period.
The almost identical thing then happened in November and December. I've had a few other symptoms, some pain in my lower back, abdominal area and some discomfort around my vagina.
I had been planning to make a GP appointment in January after the Christmas period. I was assuming it was something hormone related as it was happening at the same time in my cycle each time.
However, my period ended 3 days ago and I have continued to have pain and spotting (red/pink) since. This has sent me into complete panic as it does not match the pattern and has made more serious things, such as cervical cancer, seem more likely.
I will be making a GP appointment but I am now very frightened.
I am 33, no children.
Any thoughts or experiences would be gratefully appreciated. Trying not to let my mind run away with itself.

🤔There are several possibilities ..try not to overthink before having tests..definitely make an appointment with your GP. This link mentions possible causes..but there could be others.
🙂 It’s always a good idea to speak to your GP for peace of mind. I know how easy it is to overthink and persuade myself that ‘symptoms fit a diagnosis’.
Thank you for replying.I'm really sorry to hear you are having similar difficulties. Early menopause sounds really hard. I hope things turn out well for you 😊
Try not to panic, def make an appointment with your doctor. There are loads of things which could be causing it unrelated to cancers, but a doctor will or should refer you to gynaecology to give you peace of mind.
I’m like you and I’m a worrier and best thing is the doctor. Are your smears up to date as well?
I had what you had and it was fibroids I had and a condition called adenomyosis - both not cancerous. There are lots of things like starting or coming off a new contraceptive pill, stress, medication, the hormone cycle in general can cause a little spotting, gynaecological conditions not cancerous etc and can be treated.
Just visit your doctor and they will help you. Try not worry. Happy to offer any advice if you need anything on here x
Thank you for replying. It's reassuring to hear of someone who has experienced similar that didn't turn out to be cancer. Did you also experience pain as well as the bleeding?
I did yes. I had a large fibroid, a small polyp and adenomyosis. These things just feed off our hormones and are nuisance. I had this a long time and it was painful, but cramps in general can be painful. I eventually had a hysterectomy as well as my bleeding got horrendous but I am a bit older and that was my choice - they were just going to remove the fibroids. Def make an app to see your doctor and try not think the worst as I think ur just thinking it must be cancer when it’s far more likely not to be - gynae issues are very common and there are lots of treatments. I think seeing the doctor would calm your anxiety. I know how you feel as I was the same. I’m a natural worrier! X
I have experienced then alot worse, turned into blood clots after many months of investigations they said i had huge fibroids and to stop more fybroids growing I decided to have a full hysterectomy age 43. Of course yours could endeometroisis or pollocks etc and very easily treated. I really hope so as my bleeding was very traumatic.
