Could my contraception be causing ovarian cysts?

I have gone to the gyno with on and off pelvic pain and recently had an ultrasound in which they found one singular ovarian cyst, the doctor said it was a simple cyst and nothing to worry about but it was causing me the pain.

I am on the contraceptive implant and don’t recall getting these issue before I went on the implant; after some googling I read cysts can be a rare side effect...

Could my implant be causing me issues? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have no idea regarding the coil as I’ve personally never used it. However some sites say a rare side effect of the implant can be cysts. Just wanted to see if anyone had experienced this. If they had I’m getting it removed 😂

I’ve heard the coil can but not the implant but please know wether you have contraception or not you can still get cysts as yours is a simple cyst it’s not something to come of contraception over as lots of people have these and they go away on their own x

Women develop cysts on their ovaries all the time, it's natural, all part of being a woman :)

I wouldn't worry too much about having one cyst, especially if your doctor wasn't.

It’s not the cyst I’m overly concerned about it’s the pain that comes along with it. It’s never horrific pain but it’s so frustrating and sets my anxiety off 😖 xx

I have the implant and it's second time I have had it. My Dr tells me that the implant wasn't the cause of my ectropian cervix altho some Dr at gynaecology said that it's common with contraceptives. They all have different answers on it. The Dr that removed pre cancerous cells from my cervix said the implant had nothing to do with it. I do think that the implant has much to do with things like cysts as I have cyst in my breasts and all over my body since having the implant and I know many more people that have had this problem

I hope you are all okay now?

And it would never have occurred to me that the implant could have caused this issue but it just seems like a coincidence that I had 0 issue before I had it. The fact and you and many others tells me that it is probably the route of my issues.

Thank you for the advice!

Mine is due out in October and I won't be having it back in because of all the trouble I have had. I think it also contributes to my anxiety ha t I have had for t years now and I have had the implant for around 7 years I think now had the first one in for nearly 5 years before having it taken out then left it a bit and got it back in again a couple months later. I have suffered anxiety for 5 years and never suffered with bad anxiety before the implant. I do sometimes regret having the implant for the second time x

I've been on the contraceptive implant since 2012. I went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain and nausea last Friday and it was found to be an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. This is the first time I've had a cyst that's caused issues. I'm hoping it goes away soon. But I am still considering changing my contraception because the implant makes me feel horrible! - Low mood before and during period, breast tenderness for 3 out of 4 weeks every month, really bad mood swings, long 3 week periods, irregular bleeding... such fun!

I got ovarian cysts when on the mini pill, had never had them before, mine got to size of small lemon but did resolve itself, i know the pain and mine were always on my left side, haven't had them since but have been off contraception for 13 years.

Too many categories will confuse any reader, and ready-to-buy essays will look more like definitions that don't help but are even more intimidating when put together paraphrasingonline.com/. Some find it difficult to categorize their essays. It's pretty easy to do this by writing your ideas down on paper.
