Menopause and mega sweats

Hi Guys,

I need some advice before I flip.

I started my menopause over a year ago. It wasn't too bad to start with, but now........well.

I had a hysterectomy around 10yrs ago, but my ovaries were left.

Anyway, To start with I used a lot of natural remedies, including the lady magnet, which all worked to start with, but don't touch the edges now.

I took the decision after a long time thinking it over, to start HRT. My GP has advised that there are some that can be taken long term, due to me still having my ovaries, without risk.

8 days ago I started on Zumenon 2mg daily.

Since starting this, my extreme night sweats have not only gotten worse, but now I have them throughout the day too!

Is it normal for symptoms to get worse before getting better after 8 days of taking them? Am I just expecting relief too fast?

I have little or no sleep most nights, I'm agitated, exhausted and can't concentrate on my work.

Any advice is welcome.

Perhaps that's the wrong HRT for you, & you need to try another brand to reduce your symptoms.

I take Angelique tablets, a synthetic HRT, which was recommended by a friend who's gynacologist sister also takes it. I temporarily swapped to bio-identical tablet & gel, which suits most women better, but preferred the synthetic.
