🙂 People might be on holiday. Type ‘Merina Coil’ in the SEARCH BOX at the top of this page, there have been previous discussions 🙂xB

Can I ask about this?

My gp casually mentioned that I have cervical hyperplasia after an exam which I asked for due to the severe pain I was having each period.

I had a coil and this has happened as a result of it. From my own research I believe that I probably have low-ish progesterone causing an estrogen/progesterone imbalance but the gp said my hormone levels were “fine”.

What symptoms did you have, what were your hormone levels and how did your gp come to this decision? I’m looking for ammo to see my gp with! TIA 😊

I have gone through the Menopause but was having bleeding which is not normal.

So i was sent for a internal scan you get the results then which said my lining was 10mm. I then had a biopsy to determine whether or not it was Cancer, Thankfully it came back that it was not Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia. But still Endometrial Hyperplasia.

I was told the merina would be more effective but i did not want that. So i am on Norethisterone for 6 months when they will check me again.

Interesting. I’m trying progesterone cream - I really don’t want to mess too much more with my hormones. I’m coming to realise that all these things the gps offer us are really not great, and they have no idea how the interact with thyroid problems.

I am tempted to ask about norethisterone in case it might work faster but I’m not convinced and I don’t want to upset my almost sorted system!
