Hello, I have skulking for a while, weight up and down but always too much! I am using my phone and haven’t really got the hang of using this site.
Anyway, I am four weeks into very low carb, high-ish protein and good fats. It looks as though this will be a slow affair as I lost three pounds then stuck.
Past history is that I get fed up and return to consolation carbs, which are like crack cocaine for me. I have to go Cold Turkey!

On my phone there's a green speech type home bubble at the top left. Clicking on that will take you to all the current posts too. To join in just click on a blue "reply" button and you're away
There are a few groups that I'm sure you'll find helpful, such as the Daily Diary, Weigh In, springers specials for example.
We also have a number of members who follow a low carb plan that you might find particularly supportive.
Finally, we have a Christmas Countdown Challenge that you could join in with - it's week 3 but it's never too late to start.
I would say the best place to find others on a low carb plan is on the Daily Diary, have a look at what the host Hopalong1 has posted about low carb Tuesday (very timely).
Welcome -cold turkey is a great choice for low carb😀. Well done on 3lb loss, even though you sound disappointed its a good start. But if you find very low carb difficult or you give up because you get fed up, perhaps you should be including some planned carbs, maybe at the weekend , just to break the monotony. I’m not suggesting eating a pile of cakes but maybe some buttery toast or a small scone, with cream and a sliced strawberry.
You’re right, I can feel the pull from carbs: I thought I would try making some keto bread to see if that helps keep me on track. Living alone, there is a risk from having my normal delicious whole grain bread in the house, even in the freezer, as it calls to me! Watch this space!
