Hi team

LOL I do actually look like this, even with a little weight loss still have my tum, my tum and me are in it for the longhaul!
This is so painfully accurate, it's like a mirror reflecting the harsh realities of life. But hey, maybe sharing in the sadness together makes it a little bit easier to bear. We're all in this rollercoaster of life together, after all.
Hi and welcome, Lory_Y
Sharing and caring is what this forum is all about, so you definitely fit the bill
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially the Weigh-in and Daily Diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best
Wouldn't it be great if we were a species where our bodies weren't viewed as anything but totally fine and acceptable ? Take the beautiful polar bear and look at the weight of an elephant . Why oh why are we deemed the brighter more intelligent species but so many of us are totally brassed with how we look , what we weigh and that tiny guilty pleasure of a cake , wine , bread roll - could go on .
Yes, agreed. In the past it was because it was what men thought they wanted of women, and control, now its dressed up as ’health’ issues with largely no evidence whatsoever and a very big money-maker for lots of big companies. Of course I know there are some heath issues with eating lots of sugar or being so unfit that moving is painful, and eating disorders but yes, we do beat ourselves up rather. We need to listen to ourselves more and learn to love what we are regardless of our size.
