Hi team: I'm getting really frustrated... - Weight Loss Support
Hi team
So frustrating for you. Are you weighing your portions to calculate calories accurately, Are these extra steps or are you tracking your steps during normal daily life -I donāt know much about step-counting but I think you have to discount quite a few before they count as exercise. Try not to lose motivation -have you considered switching to low carb ( though not sure how that would sit with your diabetes -canāt remeber which type of diabetes you have) Donāt give up, some tweaks will see you losing Iām sure.
I'm on boarder diabetic doctor said that's why I'm trying to loose weight and eat good stuff..
I was also borderline diabetic at one time -even though I was at a healthy bmi, I participated in a 12 week trial as part of a university study on reversing diabetes -it was essentially low carb or keto -I didnāt feel great on keto so I kept my carbs below 60-70 in the week and below 100 at the weekend. I cut out all bread pasta rice, porridge bananas and other high sugar fruit, anything with added sugar completely -I used lentils and quinoa ( batch cooked and frozen in portions) other root veg. I wasnāt hungry because I ate plenty of protien and fat, butter in my coffee instead of milk. Iām not a snacker and donāt have a sweet tooth, lucky me. But I reversed my diabetes and lost quite a bit of weight (too much). I still eat low carb but in a more ānormalā diet because my husband does all the cooking so I try to fit in. Iām only telling you this because saying you eat good stuff is not an answer that helps us help you. Good luck with losing a bit this week
Me - but I was under doing the calories . Try MyFitnessPal free app for basic guidelines on macros and what has hidden nasties . I was under eating and the wrong food . I was shedding more weight on 1450 cals than 1200 as a woman who was then 62 years old . I also did 3X Zumba and swimming plus long frequent walks which I didnāt take off my calories but under eating and eating the wrong stuff doesnāt help.
I also have butter in my coffee...as part of a keto diet. It is not a no-no, but if you are going to eat fat you have to cut carbs. IMO it is a much easier way to lose weight because you don't have to limit how much you eat, just WHAT you eat.
If you haven't tried it, you might consider it?
