Hi there everyone happy new year to you all.I’m hoping to start to join in the weekly chats you all sound very encouraging and I have really enjoyed reading everything these last few months now it’s time to get cracking and try to loose some weight.

Welcome back, 220651 :)

I can see you were here a year ago. Maybe you didn't find your way around and I recommend taking the time to do so - it can look complicated but once you know where to find the various activities - and you'll find them all in the same place - you'll soon settle in. What device are you using?

You will find the weigh in, diary (where members post their meal plans) and chat (for a chat about anything) in Pinned Posts. You'll also find Fit is Fun, DrinkLess Club and our book club. For whatever you fancy joining, click on the title of the post, read it, then Reply to the poster using the blue Reply button below, which is what I've done to you.

Thank you for your reply l am using my iPad and must admit I am struggling to find my way around . I will have a good look round and find what I need to do to reply.

Right, I'm looking at my iPad mini which I assume is the same as a standard iPad. There are just a couple of steps and it's well worth while giving it a go.

Top left you should see My feed and H in a green bubble: click there and it will take you to your News Feed which shows the posts where there is any activity: they jump to the top of the feed as someone replies.

Next to that, you'll see My hub and 9 little circles: click on that and it will give you a list of any forums/communities that you're signed up to: choose Weight Loss Support and it takes you to the forum Home page.

On the left of that page, you'll see the most recent post: currently, it's Weigh In for Saturday Superstars (though it may have changed by the time you look). On the right, you'll see Pinned Posts and next to that, in blue, See all. Click on See all and you'll get the list of Pinned Posts that I mentioned above.

As for replying, you've done that correctly just now, replying to me :)

Thank you very much for your instructions I think I maybe sort of know what I’m doing now l am going to weigh myself every Tuesday so I presume it will be just a matter of going to the weekly weigh in and posting my weight there every Tuesday. I am really sorry if I seem a bit dopey but I definitely am when it comes to anything technical.Thanks for being patient with me and a really happy new year to everyone.

That's right, just find the weigh in on Tuesday and add your weight. It's mainly about support so we ask everyone to say a few encouraging words to at least three others, and it's a good way of getting to know people.

I don't think you're dopey: it's not the most obvious setup and there's nothing we can do about that but once you start joining in, you'll soon get the hang of it :)
