I am just in my third day and already I’m feeling I’m not doing good. First weight in is not till Friday. I wish I could understand how to get through the program better. But it will take time I suppose

I'm sure it will mostly come with practice and experience, but start with accepting you CAN do this! We will all support you but you are completely capable. Best of luck! Take it day by day.

Changing habits can be difficult at first but it does get easier.

What are you finding difficult?

Thanks for replying my problem is I am diabetic and can’t leave the sugar alone so I am trying to keep two things going together. I lost a stone and a half last year but put it all back on again. Need to be very focused on what I’m doing.

Sugar cravings.... Did you have a look at the Blood sugar diet? I'm tagging pcrw who might have some tips for you. My top is to make sure you are getting enough healthy fats.

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t know there was a blood sugar diet, except for the diabetic nurse I really don’t get any advice from others. Could you let me know how to find that diet on the program.

Hi Nanny 4

The 8 week blood sugar diet is a book by Dr Michael Moseley and is not on this web site

Do you have type 1 or Type 2 diabetes? The diet is suggested for type 2 but if you have a diabetic nurse and are taking medication for diabetes I think you need to take medical advice before trying it.

I was pre diabetic and needed to lose weight so that I did not go on to develop Type 2 which is associated with obesity and being overweight. There has been a lot of clinical research which shows you can reverse the condition by losing weight and there has been a lot of publicity in the newspapers and on the news about the success of the diet

It is also important to increase your level of activity. I chose to walk 10000 steps a day and use a Fitbit to count steps and calories but any extra activity will help

Best wishes for your success in losing weight

Thanks for your interest, it is type 2 but I don’t want to get mixed up with different diets. Your advice is good, it is my activity I have to work on.

Thanks again
