im here to lose weight I have gained recently. In total the past 2 years ive lost 9 stone but due to stress and family issues I have put on 2 stone. As you can imagine I am not happy but I have lost motivation. I am also an emotional eater so that hasn't helped either.
What do people do to stay motivated?

Having enough to eat is vital, if you are following the NHS 12 Week plan then the 1400 calorie target suggested is a just generic amount, so check your calorie target on the BMI checker, it’s often higher than you think.
Also try to come onto the forum regularly, daily if you can, reading posts and replying to others. Being part of a community is proven to help weight loss. Why not join our daily chat thread ‘What’s Happening Today? And tell us all a little about your day. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Hi and thank you for the great welcome. I have had a look around and the support is amazing, just what I need. Life is not great at the moment but I cant use it as an excuse to keep eating anything and everything !
Welcome to this wonderful forum. Many of us on here are emotional eaters and you will get huge amounts of support. Look at what you’ve achieved. You are 7 st lighter than you were. Focus on this, be kind to yourself and start to make some small changes and do engage with this forum...it’s fab😊
Thanks I am my own worst enemy when it comes to eating. I know its not good for me and I feel guilty afterwards and then eat more! it is a vicious circle at the moment but I will get back in the zone so to speak
Welcome! Join in the forums, be proud of YOURSELF, and enjoy every mouthful!!! (I too am an emotional eater, so I hear you - but recently I find when I am eating "crap" it doesn't taste good, so I try and eat healthier food that I enjoy!!!
Today started great then my hubby turned up with cake, not very helpful, he bought me a cake because I looked sad! I did eat it , enjoyed it and then regretted it! I have asked him to buy healthier snacks in the future.
I hear that! I hope you enjoyed the cake before the regret left a bad taste. I hope your husband will encourage you and choose healthier options in the future to help you x
I'm sure this is mentioned in the newbie pack, but I'd def recommend picking a day and joining a weekly weigh-in. I'd also take all your measurements so you can see your progress over time.
When you feel stuff is getting out of control come here for advice, support and stuff to cheer you up! It's a great community which can really help you (esp if you join in!)
