Hello : Hello everyone....I’m Melanie... - Weight Loss Support
Hello
Hi and welcome, Melly1969
Have you put your details into the NHS BMI calculator to make sure you're eating the correct amount? Undereating can be as harmful to weight loss as overeating nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...
Have you looked at what you're eating, as well as how much you're eating? healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
I would also suggest you join our daily diary for specific help with your chosen menus.
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts
healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
If you haven't already taken it, here's a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best
I can’t believe I only found this site link (came up at start week9....have I joined this forum). Yes I’ve entered all my details on the NHS calculator and this is the range it suggests. I have good balanced diet, given my exercise it’s a bit disheartening such a little loss...xx
1400 calories is a generic amount, unsuitable for most. If you put your height, weight, age and level of exercise into the calculator, it will give you a range which varies by about 400 calories from top to bottom and out advice is to eat as much as you can, while still losing weight. If you go too low, your body may lower your metabolic rate to match.
I would also have a look at this, to see if it matches your idea of a balance diet, it made a huge difference to me healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
Hey Melly1969! Welcome to the forum! Have you tried re-calculating your BMI and calorie allowance because now that you've lost weight you probably need less calories. I would definitely recommend joining a "weigh in day", on here too. The support is amazing! Best of luck on your journey 🙂
Yes I have and yes I’ll join that....I’m just finding my way around xxx I’ve done the tour but takes me a while 😂
Oh I’ve entered new details, having lost the stone.....but as it’s showing within healthy range isn’t giving me the option to chose calories/still lose weight.......I do apologise if sounding a bit dim....I’m going to become a pain in the bottom with question now found this site😂😂😩🌺❣️
I would suggest that you concentrate on what you're eating then and definitely join our daily diary.
You don't sound dim at all! When i calculated my BMI this morning it gave me a massive calorie range, so I would eat at the lower end of that range if your weight loss has plateaued. Hope you get things moving again coz you're doing really well!
have you tried drinking more water and less eating in the evening?
I drink my body weight in water😂😂😂 I have evening meal and maybe Jaffa cake and piece fruit.. I log approx 300cals
Hello and welcome to the forum, yildiz
You'll find everything you need by following this link healthunlocked.com/weight-l... to Pinned Posts. A good place to start would be joining a weekly weigh in, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal and exercise plans.
If you haven't already, you can take a tour of the forum here healthunlocked.com/?tour=true
Active participation will boost your own efforts so do some browsing, read and reply to chats, join in activities, ask question and encourage others - it will all pay off for you
Where does everyone put their daily food diaries?
If you follow the link to Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... you'll see a list of posts, starting with Welcome Newbies. The fourth in the list is the Daily Diary. Read the opening post and that explains it, and you'll see what everyone else is writing.
The third in the list of Pinned Posts is always the weigh in for that day: you might like to join in the morning. Have a look through all those posts as you might see other things you'd like to join in with.
You're not using the HU app are you? It doesn't reach all parts so you're best using your browser to reach the website, whatever device you have
Well done on your loss so far ! Would you like to join us on our weigh in? Here's the link, I hope to see you there! x
